Let’s talk about Charlie your horse, he has been through many competitions with you. He appears to be by your side every step of the way! Would you share with our readers about Charlie, and the relationship you two have? Charlie has been by my side since a few months after I started riding horses, from 4-H horse shows, to swimming in the river, to my first rodeo queen competition, to now as Miss Teen Rodeo Arizona! The relationship he and I have is more than just a horse and rider partnership. He is my best friend, and there have been so many times I have passed up time with (human) friends to spend with him. We have many favorite things we like to do together, including, riding bridleless (he prefers it!), giving kisses, and going thru the Taco Bell drive thru in our hometown. The memories are endless, I am so thankful for the relationship we have. He has taught me so much! We’ve had our ups and downs, when I first started riding there were definitely a few tears, some frustrating moments, but mostly smiles! Lots of hard work, patience, dustin’ off my boots and getting back on have helped me get to where I am today!

There must be some highlighted events this year you’re appearing at. Would you share some of those events with our readers? Where do I begin? I am so excited! It is going to be a wonderful year! In September I just had the hon- or of carrying the American flag at my hometown Mohave County Fair. I opened both the horseshow on Saturday, and the Team Sorting on Sunday. There is no higher honor or duty for me than to carry our nations flag- Old Glory, our Red, White and Blue! That was my first appearance as Miss Teen Rodeo Arizona- and it is finally starting to settle in! I was so excited I got to carry the Flag! By the time this is printed, I will have ridden in the 2018 Andy Devine Days Rodeo Parade and attended both days of the Rodeo. Another 2018 highlight of my year will be going the Turquoise Circuit Finals in Prescott Valley, Arizona. I get to ride at Circuit Finals! Now that is cool! When I received a call inviting me and confirming my attendance and told I get to carry a flag I was speechless. That will be amazing to be out in the same arena as our Arizona and New Mexico Circuit Champions and fellow Queens! Look for me there!

Every Issue of Horse & Agriculture Magazine, we have a theme! The Oct/Nov Issue is “Spice in Your Life”, who is your spice or spices? Oh boy. The spices. Hmmmm….. Well, that is actually a very good question, and happy to share our family recipe. My spice and spices are my support team of my friends and family. Although we have a very busy schedule, my family, and family time is always top priority to me, and is the foundation of who I am. We work hard, play hard. For everyone that knows me and my family, knows we are close and tightly knit. We are goofy, silly, tell dumb jokes that no one gets (especially my mom), and make family dinners, watching dumb movies, spur of the moment road trips, lots of Diamondbacks baseball games TOP priority. This is the spice of my life- my family!
