Extravaganza, featuring the Longhorn World Championship Measurements, Longhorn World Championship Futurity, Longhorn World Championship Sale, and the Awards and Banquet Ceremony, is on its way back to the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, OK, and we are adding more activites to make it the best year yet.

Last year’s Futurity featured a baby category, and people loved this option. We are continuing with this category this year and hope more participants will agree – Longhorn babies are the cutest! New this year, an Interactive Futurity Seminar will be provided. This will be a full hands-on presentation with the Futurity Judges, and something you will not want to miss.
There will also be a Bull Selection Seminar presented by some of the top leading bull breeders! In this seminar, everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to ask the experts anything and everything about bulls.

Along with the exciting seminars, changes have been made to the schedule of events. All measuring will be completed on Friday, October 20. On Saturday, the Futurity will be held. We will sprinkle in the fun events, seminars, and activities (like Cow-Patty Bingo) around throughout both days. It will all end with the Longhorn Extravaganza Awards and Banquet.

ALL ABOUT THE KIDS
We want to make kids a part of the fun, and at the 2017 Longhorn Extravaganza, they will get the chance to participate like never before.
Banner Painting
We will have a special banner made for just the kids. Throughout the weekend, each kid will be allowed to help paint this banner. Once completed, it will be featured on the cover of the Texas Longhorn Journal and additional promo material. The kids who helped create the masterpiece will be listed in the Journal’s Extravaganza recap issue and presented with a special keepsake.
Photo Contest
Each kid will be allowed to participate in the new photo contest. For this, take the absolute best shots…parents can direct, but please leave the actual shooting up to the kids. They can be of your favorite Longhorn, your favorite dog, your favorite parent (just don’t say that to your parents), or just a great picture of the family’s ranch. Begin sending them in to
info@thelonghornalliance.com. You have up until the event to submit as many pictures as possible. The pictures will be displayed throughout the weekend and voted on. The first-place winner will be announced during the Awards ceremony, and the picture will be included with the event promo. (For ages up to 17)
