KVMA Executive Board Meeting Minutes tised, second and motion passed.
• Motion was made to adjourn, second and passed.
Present: Doug Peterson (Presiding), Lauren Melzer, Sar- ah Sunday, James Beckman, Iga Stasiak, Jason Rodgers, Debra Shoulders, Jen Quammen, Walter Haines, Barb Lewis, James Weber, Wade King, Brigett Dean-Hines, Lynne Cassone, Bonnie Barr, Robert Stout, Kelly Gies- brecht, and Andy Roberts (Secretary). Louise Cook, Ex- ecutive Director was also present.
• Called to order at 1:04 PM EST • Anti-Trust Statement was signed • Motion to approve minutes from December 8 & 9, 2017 Board Retreat was made, second, & motion passed
• Motion to support “Serving up Solutions” dinner & meeting with Governor Matt Bevins, second & mo- tion passed.
• Constituent Associations reports were presented. • Public Relations Committee report was presented. • Power of Ten Report was presented. • Finance Committee report was presented. • Governmental Relations Committee report was pre- sented.
• Mid-America Veterinary Conference report was pre- sented
• AVMA report was presented • Dr. Gary Brown, AVMA Executive Board Represen- tative for District 5 was seeking support for Presiden- cy, action was tabled.
• Controlled Drug Compliance education update was presented. A motion was made to fund $500.00 per meeting plus mileage for no more that 7 meetings across the state, second & motion passed.
• KVMA Mentorship program was discussed. • A motion was made for financial support for AUCVM & Tuskegee CVM student financial advi- sor at $1,250.00 per quarter for one year, second & motion passed.
• Motion to accept new member application, second, motion passed.
• Motion to support the KY Animal Care and Control Association annual conference at the $250.00 level, second and motion passed.
• Motion was made to continue to pay KY Agriculture Council dues, second and passed.
• Motion was made to solicit a bid for an outside man- agement firm for KVMA, second and motion passed.
• Motion was made to approve a salary package for the Executive Director position that will not be adver-
